If your dog’s immune, neurological, kidney, circulatory, and defensive systems are not performing at their peak and ready to guard against a dog’s seizure, permanent and lasting damage occurs, shortening the life of your dog.

SeizureGuard PLUS is an advanced treatment option that builds up these systems and keeps your dog on optimal guard against seizures! The result is less frequent seizures, shorter and less damaging attacks, and a quicker and fuller recovery.

HOW IT WORKS:

SEIZUREGUARD rebalances and increases your dog’s immune, neurological, kidney, circulatory, and defensive systems up to optimal performance. As a result your dog will be less likely to experience a seizure, and when a seizure does occur, chances are good that it will last shorter and cause less damage. And perhaps the most critical benefit of SeizureGuard is that, when a seizure does occur, your dog will be able to recover quickly from it. It is in this phase where most permanent damage and life threatening effects occur – when a dog cannot recovery from an epileptic attack.

The ingredients in SeizureGuard:

Protease: Protease acts as a catalyst to repair damaged proteins, reduces blood toxins after an epileptic attack, rebalances the immune system by modulating protein levels, supports increased blood flow essential after an attack, and speeds tissue and muscle repair.

Amylase: Amylase is one of the best defensives against many diseases including epilepsy in dogs. After an attack, Amylase successfully works in muscle building and improving immune system in order to burn the calories and fight against those chronic diseases. Lastly it has great calming benefits that will help your dog to stop shaking.

Chia Powder: Chia is a natural food source for added energy and endurance. High in omega-3 fatty acids Chia will help your dogs circulatory system and heart maintain peak levels needed in epileptic dogs. It also benefits a dog’s joints after an attack, as well as supporting a healthy neurological and brain functions. It has a very high protective antioxidant value and is rich in vitamins, fiber and protein.

Cellulase: Cellulase is particularly helpful because the body is unable to produce it. It promotes healthy liver functions, and helps muscles and tissue to repair themselves quickly after an attack.

Seaweed Kelp: Seaweed Kelp provides so many healing benefits for epileptic dogs and does a great job building up a dog’s immune, neurological, and circulatory systems. Kelp is supports stress reduction which is particularly useful during and after an attack.

Hemicellulase: Hemicellulase does a outstanding job at helping cells establish and maintain optimal sustainability levels. Hemicellulase also plays a vital role in cell tissue repair so vital after an attack. As it has such strong benefits to cell layers, it also helps dog’s joints and muscles maintain pain free movement and flexibility.

Lipase: works in conjunction with protease and amylase to promote a healthy liver and immune system. Normal digestion of dietary fat is accomplished by lipases with the assistance of bile, which is produced by the liver and normally supplied by way of the gallbladder. Incomplete digestion of these fats may cause a fatty acid deficiency which greatly weakens membrane structure in cells throughout the body. Without a daily supply of Lipase a dog prone to seizures may not be able to recover form even mild attacks properly.

Papin: Papin enzymes are used to reduce swelling and fever after an attack. These enzymes are useful as an anti-inflammatory and can also help to alleviate edemas. Papain also helps to regulate the bowels and helps to clean away dead tissues from the body which is needed to support optimal liver and immune system health. Papin enzymes may also prove beneficial to pets who suffer from hip and joint pain. It can also help boost immune system function.

Milk Thistle: Milk Thistle is a suggested nutrient to administrator after a seizure, as well as to help prevent seizures. It helps the liver repair itself not only quicker, but more completely. In fact, Milk Thistle is gaining great popularity as a supplement for humans defending against seizures and cancer.

Belladonna: Belladonna has been shown to help to control and decrease muscle spasms, tightness of limbs, and uncontrolled muscle jerking.

Peony: Peony has been used for thousands of years for its pain relieving and tranquilizing effect on a dogs nerves. It also supports muscle cell repair, and relieves muscle pain after an epileptic attack. ,It also has a purifying effect on the blood. Bromelan. Bromelan has been shown to provide wonderful immune building properties. It also helps blood cells delivery needed oxygen to damaged areas of the body after a dog seizure.

Tang-Kuei: Tang-Kuei has been shown to help speed up the recovery of defensive systems as well as help keep the liver at peak performance to guard against dog seizures.

Zinc Gluconate: Zinc is an essential mineral that is found in every cell in a dogs body. It stimulates activity in over a hundred enzymes and substances in a dogs body. Its best benefit is that it helps maintain a healthy immune system and is needed for wound healing. Zinc is also needed for DNA synthesis.

Maltodextrin: Maltodextrin is a polysaccharide that contains many glucose molecules linked together. During and after a seizure a dog needs to distribute glucose very quickly. Maltodextrin allows glucose to enter the blood stream much more quickly to distribute throughout the body. For dogs with epilepsy this is particularly beneficial to repair damaged muscle and kidney tissue.

Beta-galactosidase: beta-galactosidase has been shown in studies to reduce the frequency and severity of seizures. It also supports optimal immune and liver health.

Dogs Seizures Treatment:

Dog Seizures and epilepsy in dogs is fairly common, in fact about one in 5 dogs experience some form of seizures. Dog seizures are a result of various considerations, perhaps the most common being inherited hereditary. This is also referred to as idiopathic, or inherited epilepsy.

There is no cure or epilepsy in dogs and there is also no test to determine for sure if your pet has epilepsy. In fact dog seizures are sometime mistaken for other conditions, and often other conditions are mistaken for an epileptic attack.

Dog seizures typically begin when a dog is around two to four years old, although some will some dogs will experience epilepsy as young as six months of age. As far as diagnosing epilepsy in dogs, veterinarians typically rule out other possible conditions. A veterinarian’s knowledge of dog seizures goes a long way in the diagnosis and treatment options as experience with other epileptic dogs (such as breed type, age, etc) play a important role in managing epilepsy in dogs.

As mentioned above there is no one test to determine epilepsy. We do however know enough about epilepsy in dogs to classify certain types. For example secondary epilepsy are seizures where the underlying cause can be identified. For young puppies the most common are developmental, infectious, degenerative, toxic, metabolic, and nutritional. When the cause is more genetic in nature, metabolic neoplastic, are the major classes. While this information is useful to understand, the most important thing for a pet owner is to be able to identify dog seizures, manage them, and begin a nutrition regiment to best mitigate damage done by dogs seizures.

While we will discuss this in more detail, adding digestive enzymes, zinc, and fatty acids to a dogs diet will go a long way in preventing dog seizures, and mitigating the damage done when seizures occur. Remember that there is no cure for epilepsy in dogs so it is very important to keep the body’s immune systems as strong as possible, especially with respect to being able to recover from seizures.

If you believe your dog may have had a seizure you should go see your veterinarian immediately. Be sure to pay close attention to what is going on with your dog and his body. While this may be the last thing from your mind, the information will greatly help the veterinarian best diagnose the condition, and properly prescribe medication such as phenol barbital and a daily anti seizure supplement such as Seizure Guard.

If you dog is indeed having a seizure, he will be drooling excessively, and may urinate and/or have a bowl movement. His pupils will dilate and his body will shake uncontrollably. As this occurs, his muscles will become extremely tight and rigid. In some cases he or she may lose consciousness. While dog seizures are very hard to see, especially when it is your own dog., it is important to be there and help the dog through it. Always be sure they do not fall and insure they do not choke on their tongue or saliva.

After a seizure a dog will be very tired as the body has been through so much in such a short period of time. This is why the dogs immune system and ability to recover quickly are vital. If not brain and muscle damage can occur. Epilepsy in dogs can therefore lead to other health conditions, even death, if your dog is not healthy.

After a dog seizure a veterinarian will most likely put your dog on a medication. Most experts recommend to supplement this medication with a daily anti seizure and recover supplement as there is no medication that will end dog seizures permanently. So while epilepsy in dogs is not curable, it can be managed effectively with the proper medication and daily supplement.

Lastly, if you notice that your dog seizure frequency (amount of time in between seizures is getting closer) the medication your vet is prescribing needs adjustment. This means that is is very important to document all seizures to include date, how severs, and how long they lasted. Epilepsy in dogs and seizures can be controlled and give you peace of mind if you are well prepared and do all you can do to mitigate them and allow the body to recover effectively after a seizure.
