Pets experience many skin conditions that affect their overall health. Perhaps one most obvious sign that your dog has a skin disease if you see frequent dog scratching. Skin irritations and poor coat quality in canines is often a result of improper diet, excessive exposure to the elements (in particular cold conditions), genetic circumstances, or using an improper dog shampoo. Poor nutrition will then cause skin allergies which in turn will result in the earlier mentioned skin conditions.
You may notice itchy ears, biting of paws, or even hot spots develop if your pet has skin allergies as a result of allergies. The question always comes up how do allergies result in dry skin and skin conditions. Well as discussed allergies are a result of a bigger health issues; most of the time in animals it is caused from nutrition deficiencies. And once a dog develops allergies the effects usually are most prominent in the coat and skin.
You may also notice other issues such as dog atopic dermatitis or even dandruff. So how can these issues be treated? The best approach is to begin providing your pet enzymes which will help them sustain and absorb all of the nutrients in their food. You also want to insure that the pet food you are providing your dog is a good choice and not a low quality brand. This will help end dog scratching
