Hello AJ, I would suggest using our soothing oatmeal dog shampoo – This should clear the issue quickly based on what you mentioned (I suspect it is the shampoo being used drying out the skin.) If it still occur after that then use the dandruff shampoo which will treat the skin with zinc-pca.
However, I do not think this is needed as you mentioned that your dog is not scratching so chances are it is temporary dry skin only. Thanks and let us know if we can help out any further!
Hi, may I also suggest using a high quality dog food! tammy

a dog shampoo with zinc pca should work. we have one made from an oatemal base with omega 3. it has great results. check back in 3 weeks and it will be available on evolutionsupply.com site. this should cure the problem.
Great idea, but will this work over the long run?
It will if the issue is dry skin, dermatitis or dandruff. It the cause is a skin allergy enzymes will be the best solution. As a side note, if it is a skin allergy (which are very common in dogs) a dogs dandruff shampoo will show some good results but not on a continual basis.
Lastly, some pet owners use both enzymes and a dog dandruff shampoo if the dog experiences skin allergies and dry skin. I would start off with shampoo for 3 weeks to see if their is improvement; if not begin using a pet enzyme. Hope this helps!!
