Dog is not born to live in a house with humans. To keep an animal in surroundings different from its habitat involves some training so that it can easily adjust. When you bring a new born dog in your house and do not provide it the required training then your home will soon be into pieces. The first step in the training a dog is to teach him how to sit and follow your orders. Teaching a dog to sit is not a very difficult task if you follow the tips perfectly. You do not have to hit your dog with sticks or shout at them inhumanly. Politeness and love can help you do this easily. You can start off with giving your dog something to eat. Then stand in front of it and order it to sit down. Obviously your dog will not understand what you say therefore your hand moments and actions will help him to understand better. If he still doesn’t follow then hold something to eat in your hand and then move it up and down and now order him to sit.
Keep calling your dog with its name and when it follows your instructions cuddle it a bit. Just keep calling him by his name and keep asking him to sit. Use the word “sit” again and again until your dog gets familiarized with it. You need to show it your love, praise it for its efforts. Keep doing this training everyday for few minutes so that your dogs learn the command. A small puppy might take long time for learning these things but you have to maintain your calm. If at any time you feel that you cannot handle it then hire a trainer, but do not keep an untrained dog in your house for a longer time because it can cause harm to visitors and various things in the house.
Apart from giving training to your dog at home, you should get it some professional training as well. This is because they know better ways to train them. This will reduce your task and will save time. But if you do not wish to hire any trainer then from various websites you can learn how to teach a dog basic thing. Training is indispensable for a new dog. Without training you should not expect proper behavior from it. It is just similar to the case when parents do not teach their kids how to behave then the children behave in an extremely bad way.
