- It is advised not to feed your dog with cooked bones. Chicken and turkey bones when cooked become quite dangerous for dogs because there are chances of bones getting stuck in the intestines. Therefore cooked bones can also pose a threat for your dog.
- Among the other fruits that you need to keep away from your dog’s reach are cherries, apricots, seeds of apples, plum and peach because they contain cyanogenic substances which may cause poisoning in a dog due to cyanide.
- Tobacco, medicines, corns, chocolates, xylitol and coffee are some other extremely harmful things for your dog.
Your duty is to keep these substances at such places where your dog cannot approach them. You must get your dog trained by some experts because during the training period they teach the dog to stay away from harmful things also. Put these things in locked cupboards and ensure your dog don’t open them. Fix up meals for your dogs and provide it food only at that point, dogs will slowly get use to the routine and will not ask for food before or after the scheduled timings.
