Indoor Pets

What type of dogs make good indoor house pets?

It sure would be nice to have a companion and friend with me at home. I need a best friend to share time with.

A best friend whom I can take care of.   What I want is all a creature with full of love for me! – a Dog!   This was the next thing that I thought of!   Dogs are man’s best friend right from Stone Age.   Dogs shower lots of love on their masters.  So it’s high time I own my doggie.  But living in an apartment had several disadvantages of having a dog.   A dog requires lots of pampering.   It must be provided with some space.  So which type of dogs would suit the indoors?  I need a dog that can suit well for the indoor situations. Remember that good dogs require a good dog shampoo.

Dogs are known for their pack instincts and “living in group type” quality.  Is it true that if it gets separated from its group it may feel insecure?  The answer is a definite no, dogs have been incorporated into human society for so long that they feel just a comfortable in our family as dogs did 500-years ago in their pack.   Even stray dogs have street boundaries and don’t go out it.   It barks at new dogs entering their boundaries.   A dog is often associated with the family.

It is considered as a part of the family!  A furry hair pet requires lots of pampering.  It is a bit messy too as it involves lots of fur shedding!   Dogs which can be easily trained suit the indoor dog’s category. Some of the dogs that would suit well for the indoor category includes Jack Russel Terrier, a Beagle, a Scottish terrier, Labrador (yes they are big but oh so gentle) or perhaps a Yorkie.  They are smart and can be well trained. They generally don’t bark much, which can be convincing for the neighbors as they don’t get disturbed much. Yorkies also makeup a good breed for our indoor needs.  But there are more complaints on it that they are not good with children. Staffordshire bull terrier, are great with kids. They are very loyal too. Small sized dogs suit well with indoors.  Large dogs that are poorly trained become messy with things indoor.  It is better to grow a dog from the puppy stage as it can be well trained. Pitt Bulls, Poodles, while also at opposite end of the spectrum when we think of dogs are also good house dogs if properly trained.  Weiners and Basset Hounds are also good choices. They behave well with both the children and older ones.

The general tips of having house dogs are to groom the dogs properly if they shed too much of fur.  Lacking of grooming of dogs makes us clean the fur on floor otherwise! Some excited dogs involve a lot in housebreaking. Training becomes absolutely essential for such dogs.  With proper training the dogs can be tamed easily and make great family members!  Nine out of ten times a dog will only be destructive if it is poorly trained.  We can easily train it to behave well inside the home. Lots of training needs to be exercised on it. In general any dog can be easily trained as an indoor mate. Dogs consider themselves as a part of the family.  The greatest thing that we can do to them is to really bring them in to our family.

Remember train your dog daily and you will have a great pet!
