Diarrhea is not a disease but a symptom of many diseases. Most of the cases of diarrhea are resolved by simple treatments but the others are caused due to fatal illness like cancer. One of the most common problems arising in the pets is diarrhea and dog diarrhea is the most common. It is not a disease but a symptom of other big problems. In some cases,the issue does not cause any severe condition but, in some circumstances, canine diarrhea may turn fatal for your beloved pet.  Also, there are many dog supplements that help control these dog problems.

There are many causes of Diarrhea in dogssuch as:

Food Food is one of the main reasons of causing dog diarrhea. This happens due to change in the diet or too much eating of stale or rotten food. The diarrhea caused because of food can be easily treated and resolved within a day. Just help to soothe the dog’s digestive system for a day by reducing the food intake and giving more water to your dog to clear out the digestive system.

Worms:

Puppy diarrhea is even caused by the infection due to hookworms or round worms. Puppies are normally infected by the roundworms because they are the intestinal parasites. Due to this infection, the dog may suffer from vomiting, poor growth and dull hair. If this is not treated properly, then the roundworms can even cause a death.

Hookworms can affect the dogs at any age. These parasites get stick to the lining of the dog’s intestinal track and survive on blood. The puppies even before born are affected by these parasites. Weakness, bloody diarrhea and severe anemia are the symptoms of the hookworms as they feed on blood.

Distemper

Dogs diarrhea is also caused by distemper. This is a disease, which is very infectious. In this disease, the virus attacks the upper respiratory tract, brain and the intestinal tract. When the virus attacks intestinal tract, the dog suffers from vomiting, coughing, green discharge from the nose and dark diarrhea. The brain is damaged in the last stages. In some cases, if the dog survives, then he is affected by the nervous system disorders.

Parvovirus

Parvovirus is a virus that commonly affects the younger dogs. This virus affects the intestinal lining of the dog so; the dog is not able to take liquid or nutrients. This is a fatal disease. It causes bloody stool, bad breath and dehydration.

Giardia

Giardia is another parasite that causes diarrhea. This parasite spread infection through contaminated food, water and soil. This parasite is also transmitted through direct contact of the dogs. The bad part of the diarrhea caused by Giardia is that the dogs do not show any kind of symptoms. The only symptom is the diarrhea increasing from the mild condition to the severe stage. This often occurs in yound ogs resulting in puppy diarhea.

Dysbiosis and E Coli

The canine diets are rich in proteins and have fewer vegetables. This makes the dogs to get affected by the bacteria like Dysbiosis and E Coli. Therefore, the dog’s diet should contain good amount of meat protein along with some vegetables like carrots and sweet potatoes.
